14. Rewards to Budhu Shah and Kirpal Das

This was the first battle the Guru had fought and the first victory he had won. Several of his brave friends and near kinsmen had fallen in the battle ; but this dispirited him not. Budhu Shah who had lost two sons, a brother, and hundreds of followers, and Sant Kirpal Das who had fought so well, were rewarded with a grant of the Guru's turbans which were tokens of undying friendship.
